Rivers of Thought
Each morning I take time to pray and meditate. Sometimes the experience is crystal clear and uninterrupted by sounds, movement, or intrusive thoughts. But when the distractions occur there are ways to maneuver in thoughts. It is possible to journal prior to your prayer mediation to purge and let it all out or the opposite could occur and the journaling floods you with a river of thoughts. I refocus by focusing on my breath. Breathing in through my nose and out through my mouth, long slow breaths. I allow the thoughts to appear then let them float so there are rivers of thoughts, hence the title of my painting. “Rivers of Thought”
