My art in a Greek Museum
At the beginning of the year, I was invited to be a participating artist in the 35x35 project of US artists by the Copelouzos Family Art Museum. They have four previous projects where they feature artists works from other countries. The museum shipped me a linen canvas and I began the work, here are some in progress images. The process was one in which I would paint, allow it to dry and rest, then continue layering colors, shapes and give it movement. My inspiration is biblical, Isaiah 41:10.
And finally here it is completed, varnished, dry and in the beautiful gallery box just before I packed it for them to pick up. They provided door to door service. “Fear not for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes I will uphold you with My righteous hand.” The painting is titled “Uphold” and will now be in the permanent collection of the museum. If you would like to visit the museum you must make an appointment.
